Jolly's Frog

By the river, a friendlyfisherman named Jolly lived by a pond. Every day, he would go out to the water and throw stones into it. He loved spending time there. One day, when Jolly was walking in the woods, he saw something very strange.

It was a big, long tree! He said hello to the tree, and the tree said hello back. The tree was so friendly that Jolly thought the tree would be his friend. Jolly asked the tree if he could come closer, but the tree just shook its branches.

Jolly looked away as soon as he saw a small frog in the pond! Jolly felt sad and frustrated. He shouted to the frog: “Hey, give me back my friend!” The frog was scared of Jolly’s loud voice, so it quickly jumped out from behind the tree.

The frog grabbed Jolly’s hand and they swam away into the forest. Jolly had never been so close to a frog before!
