Tim's Coat

On top of a hill, there was abig tree. A little boy named Tim wanted to climb the tree to see his friend, Sam. He put on his coat and hat.

Tim said, “I want to go up, but I am very tired.” Tim’s mom heard him and said, “It is good you will be fine soon. Why don’t you take off your coat? Then you can climb the tree again.” Tim went outside with his coat.

He put it on one of the leaves. The branch was strong. Tim started to climb up.

But he slipped and fell off the tree. Tim felt ashamed that he could not climb so high. Sam saw Tim fall and said, “Don’t worry, Tim. I will help you.” Sam helped Tim get up on his shoulders.

They walked back down the tree step by step together. When they reached their ground again, Tim was happy. He thanked Sam for helping him. They both went to play with their friends in the park.

And from that day on, Tim never climbed a tree without his warm coat and hat on.
