Susie's Key

By the river, a friendlylittle girl called Susie and her mommy were walking along the shore. They could hear the waves crashing against them. Suddenly, Susie spotted something hidden in the sand. She ran to it and pulled out a small box.

Inside was an old shiny key! “Mommy, what is this?” Susie asked curiously. Her mom smiled and said “Let’s try to find out!” They looked at each other and Sally shouted, “What will happen with the key?!” Just then, they heard a loud noise coming from across the sky. Suddenly, a huge bird swooped down, catching the key in its claws! Susie and her mom were so surprised.

They both ran to tell Sally’s mom about what had happened. When they got there, Susie said “That was a very interesting shiny key!” From that day onwards, Susie and her mom always kept the key close by their home.
